"El Sol is the quintessential St. Thomas island villa. The view is spectacular from the deck, great room, bedrooms, and kitchen, and we toasted brilliant sunsets from our lofty perch high on the Solberg hillside. We spent countless hours mesmerized by ships sailing in and out of Havensight Harbor and Crown Bay, and planes and seaplanes taking off and landing on the airport runway and water. We felt as if we were Sir Francis Drake surveying the Spanish Armada as we watched cruise ships disappear over the horizon from our commanding location. El Sol is close to downtown, with its fabulous Danish warehouse shops, and Frenchtown, with its gourmet restaurants, as well as beautiful and uncrowded Lindbergh Beach. El Sol’s furnishings and décor are beautiful and comfortable West Indian style, and the large bathrooms with walk-in showers are wonderful. The deck is bathed in sunshine all day long and the private pool is just the right size for a refreshing dip. The landscaping and tropical flowers surrounding El Sol are fragrant and gorgeous. We fell asleep to the song of Coqui frogs and wind chimes and the twinkling lights of St. Thomas, and awoke to a vista of vibrant aqua seas and a cerulean blue sky. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, returning home relaxed and refreshed, with plans to return to El Sol in the future. Genie Lupo and her staff are knowledgable, helpful, and professional, and we look forward to working with Genie again."
