Genie Lupo
Genie founded USVIP Villa Rentals in 2003. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and was literally born into the Southern Hospitality Industry, so she has been serving clients all her life. She and her mother Margaret Lupo, owner of Atlanta's Landmark Institution "Mary Mac's Tearoom", carried on the family business until 1998, when her mother died. Because her parents wanted her to learn all about different cultures and their food, her family traveled the world. The Caribbean always held a special place in her heart as they traveled to all the islands and the USVI was the last vacation that Genie took with her mother before her death. It was at that time when she shared with her mother that once she was gone, she would someday live in the Caribbean.

Genie travelled for 1.5 years in Panama and Costa Rico before making her way to St Thomas. It was in 2001 that she made the decision to stay. She gained an education of the thriving villa rental industry and decided first to start a concierge service in 2002 to cater to clients. Because many of her clients asked about her suggestion for villa rentals, she made the shift to offer both. Today, she strives to offer high quality accommodations and has formed a Team to service USVIP's clients who know the villa industry well and live on St Thomas. "We may not be the largest Villa Rental company on St Thomas, but this is for a reason. We may not personally recommend but a few services or choice of dining on St Thomas, but this is for a reason. What we do is do our best to make certain that when someone makes the decision to allow us to help plan their time here that we always do what's best so that they will want to stay with us again and again!"

Irene is Genie's right hand for the villa operation. Irene has been in the villa industry for 8 years. She was born here on St Thomas and is a "Frenchie", a term affectionately known here in St Thomas for the residents that relocated from St. Bartz three generations back who mostly live on the North side of the island. She owns the Housekeeping service which cleans before, during and after a guests stay. She has 2 daughters who also work with her. In addition to preparing the villas for guest's arrival, she also works with most of the villas to manage and maintain them during their stay. Irene can always be counted on to go above and beyond the call of duty to make certain that a USVIP client is comfortable and taken care of.
